This is the personal blog of Dorian A. Peters. I use this blog to write about whatever I’m interested in at the time. I am particularly interested in the law, technology, and hip-hop.
My current law interests are: criminal law, criminal discovery (particularly the Stored Communications Act / Electronic Communications Privacy Act), evidence, First Amendment law, privacy, defamation, and intellectual property (copyright, patents, and trademarks).
My technology interests are: cloud computing, the constant Google/Microsoft/Apple wars, blogging, Twitter, automation, and productivity.
As for hip hop, it’s not quite as easy to break down into categories – but I currently like mostly southern hip hop. I’m listening to a lot of stuff out of Miami and Texas. Namely, DJ Khalid, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Drake, Bun B, Z-Ro, Chamillionaire, Young Money, and others.
If you like any of the above, I think you will like my blog.
I currently live in Oakland, California. I grew up right next door in Berkeley, California. I earned my bachelors degree in Political Science & Mass Communications at the University of California, Berkeley in 2005. I earned my juris doctorate at Vanderbilt University Law School in 2008.
I currently work as a Deputy District Attorney in Contra Costa County. I mostly do felony preliminary hearings.
